May 27-31, 2010 Crab Festival Various venues, Kodiak, Alaska	It's the 52nd year for the Crab Festival. Enjoy a parade on May 29 at 10am, sawdust pile with money hidden for the kids, a carnival, table tennis tournament, library book sale, museum exhibits, chess tournament, blessing of the fleet at Pier 2 on Monday, rubber duck race, poetry readings, arm wrestling, art show, music. There will be a 4-H sponsored sourdough pancake breakfast on May 31 from 9am-noon at the Elks Lodge (admission is eight dollars for adults, five dollars for seniors, five dollars for ages 4-12, ages 3 and younger free). If you're not tired yet, the festival also offers bed races on Sunday at 1:30pm, a frog jumping contest, seafood cooking competition, bike rides, fisherman's memorial service.
